The Harlem Partnership Center (HPC) has served Upper Manhattan since 1995. A private, not-for-profit organization, HPC was established to provide technology and business services to Upper Manhattan communities. The Center addresses a wide range of urban concerns, including economic development, information and technology education and training. During the past five years, HPC has evolved into a multi-service business consulting and technology solutions organization, serving over 500 individual businesses. HPC also provides incubator services to eight businesses. We provide one-on-one counseling for start-ups and expanding businesses. We also offer workshops and seminars monthly to focus on current business issues. HPC provides community access to Internet connected computers. Organizations and individuals are trained on state-of-the-art technology and the latest software. Small businesses are offered classes in research and market analysis over the Internet. Our consultant department enables clientele to purchase hardware configured for their special needs. Finally, understanding that today's jobs require some familiarity with computers, HPC's goal is to provide technology and business services to our clientele using information technology to enhance productivity, gain a competitive advantage and increase their profitability. HPC assist neighborhood schools with technology programs aimed at increasing students reading, math and science aptitudes. HPC also encourages its senior population to engage in the use of technology by providing classes in the use of the INTERNET and email. HPC is staffed with professional technically knowledgeable individuals skilled in education, business and technology. |
